Equipped with a very user friendly interface. Equipped with many commands which have been included to put the basic structures like doors, floor, windows, roof and ceiling easily. Look no further. This is the book to get if you want to learn Revit from the get-go. Unlike other books that cost twice as much and are purely theoritical this book takes you into the driver's seat where you will get your hands on the steering wheel.
You will get "down and dirty" going from chapter to chapter in a logical progression as you "build" in Revit you build, not draw a five story office building. My suggestion to anyone wishing to really learn the program is to "build" your own project right next to the office building. This way you can try out the various skills as you acquire them on something that is truely your own and therefore boost your self-confidence.
You can't go wrong with this book. The author is obviously a novice when it comes to understanding buyers. Found many mistakes in the book and no support when it came to his "Supposed" email support. There are better Revit books that support the BIM concept. The screen shots in the book were also very hard to interpret. Avoid this book if possible.
Being new to 3-D Architecture, this book is great. It takes you through the entire process of modeling from start to end. The step-by-step process makes it easy to follow. The book is not filled with a lot of techno mumbo- jumbo like alot of books do. It puts it in plain English, so you don't get frustrated. As a teacher, I have reviewed a lot of books before I found this one.
I will recommend this book to all my colleagues and students. I have gleaned much information from this book which I think is very well constructed and well written. The work flow and logical order is ideal for the beginner and expert alike.
The project is practical and encompasses real situations one might see in the real world. The power of Revit Architecture is revealed with the least amount of stress, and with a good sense of humour. I liked this book. Porely written. Hard to understand. Worst book I have ever purchased of this kind.
